Dr. Bath, a native of Warren, PA, earned his undergraduate degree with honors in chemistry and biology from Gannon University before receiving his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University, where he was honored with the AAOMS Excellence Award in Oral Surgery. He completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland and Mt. Sinai Medical Center, serving as chief resident and receiving comprehensive training in dental implants, facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, and laser-assisted procedures.
During your initial consultation with Dr. Bath, he will perform an oral exam, discuss your concerns and dental/medical history, and explain treatment options. Whether you’re here for full-mouth dental implants or another type of oral surgery, diagnostic imaging may be taken to evaluate the condition of your teeth, bone structure, sinuses, jaw joints, nerves, and surrounding tissues. We believe in transparency about costs, so we’ll always provide an accurate estimate to help you make an informed decision about moving forward with dental implants and other procedures.
Dental implants are the only tooth replacement that replaces missing teeth from the roots to the crown, thereby preventing bone loss and associated facial changes. As an oral surgeon, Dr. Bath has extensive expertise placing The Exact Smile, our superb branded dental implants in Pickerington, OH.
As evidenced by glowing reviews, Dr. Bath is dedicated to delivering incredibly gentle wisdom tooth removal that eases worries and pain, while exceeding patients’ expectations. From your initial consultation to post surgery, our entire team strives to make removing troublesome third molars as pleasant as possible.
Although saving natural teeth is always preferred, tooth extraction at The Ohio Center for Oral, Facial & Implant Surgery is often the best solution for severely decayed teeth, teeth impacted by periodontitis, or damage that can’t be repaired. The area around your impacted tooth is numbed, and Dr. Bath carefully extracts it, taking care not to harm surrounding teeth or bone.
Jaw surgery (also known as orthognathic surgery) in Pickerington, OH, corrects various jawbone misalignments to improve facial balance, bite function, and overall oral health. Jaw surgery can alleviate difficulty chewing or speaking, chronic jaw pain or TMJ disorders, sleep apnea, facial asymmetry, or jaw abnormalities caused by growth differences, injury, or congenital conditions.
A dental implant comprises three parts—a titanium or ceramic post, an abutment, and a restoration. Built to function like natural tooth roots, dental implants provide bone support and a stable foundation for a single dental crown, a dental bridge, a denture, or a full arch prosthesis.
Many patients are already candidates for dental implants or can qualify after preparatory treatments such as bone grafting and tooth extractions. Candidacy is more accurately determined after comprehensive consultation and evaluation with an implant dentist.
The cost of dental implants is based on many factors, including how many teeth are missing and for how long, the materials used, and what additional procedures are needed. Our team can help you apply for dental financing and will file insurance claims on your behalf to help you afford treatment.
Dental implant treatment can range from a few months to over a year. In many cases, implants can be surgically placed soon after the consultation and treatment plan are complete. For patients needing bone grafting, this may be a separate procedure requiring several months of healing before dental implant surgery.
After dental implants are placed, healing can take 3+ months before optimal integration is achieved, and a final restoration can be permanently attached. In many cases, patients can wear a temporary restoration during healing.
Dental implants are designed to last decades and potentially the rest of your life. Surgical technology, clinical experience, and your health habits ultimately affect the longevity of your implants.
Choosing an experienced implant team like ours ensures more precise, accurate surgery and better guarantees the long-term success of your treatment.
